As a pet owner, you know when your companion’s care can’t wait until tomorrow. That’s why VSEC provides emergency veterinary care 24 hours per day, 365 days a year.
It’s comforting to know that our highly trained veterinarians and talented nurses are here for your beloved pet every day and every night, on weekends. and holidays. You can also be sure the most advanced diagnostic and monitoring equipment, treatment protocols and surgical techniques will be used to take care of your pet. Plus, our board-certified specialists are available to the emergency veterinarians when consultations, complicated surgeries, and specialized treatments are required.
Many patients require only outpatient treatment and can be sent home after being examined. However, should an illness be more complicated, your pet may be hospitalized for testing and treatment. Should your pet require ongoing care, we may suggest that he or she be transferred back to your family veterinarian the following weekday morning. In the event your pet’s condition remains unstable or requires additional evaluation, arrangements can be made for continued hospitalization and evaluation by one of our specialists.
Triage Policy: Pets requiring immediate attention with life-threatening conditions will be admitted directly to the critical care unit ahead of other patients.
