Dr. Richmond Aarstad
Richmond Aarstad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. After graduation, Dr. Aarstad completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Mesa Veterinary Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. Upon completion of the internship, he spent a year in private practice before becoming the Medical Director of VCA Paradise Valley Emergency Animal Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Aarstad spent 5 years in that position before joining VSEC in January of 2008.
